Your Role:

As a Finance and Accounting Specialist at SLY for the US operations, you will be responsible for managing financial activities, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, and maintaining compliance with US regulations. You will play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, and supporting the financial strategy of our US business.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with US financial regulations and GAAP standards, including handling federal and state tax filings.
  • Assist in developing budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for cost optimization.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate filing of financial statements and tax returns.
  • Implement and monitor internal financial controls and processes to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate financial risks.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the US.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and federal and state tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with financial reporting and compliance in multiple US states.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial management tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational and time-management skills.
